• Proficiency Testing(PT) is one of the 4 activities of Bureau of Accreditation. It is started in 1996.
• BoA’s PT is coordinated with APLAC to bring National Laboratory to Regional, it help Viet nam Laboratory to improve their perfomance.
• BoA’PT is supported by Technical expert from Viet nam Metrology Intistute, Quatest 1, Industrial company….
• BoA’PT main objective is to provide a quality assurance tool for individual laboratories to enable them to compare their perfomance with similar laboratories, to take any necessary remedial action, and to facilitate improvement.
• BoA’PT comply with APLAC procedure and it is strongly support by Proficiency Testing Australia (PTA).
• BoA’PT mission is Honestly, Accurately and Objectively.

 

What is PT?


• Proficiency testing is a powerful tool to help a laboratory to demontrate such competence to an accreditation body or other third party. PT to enables laboratories to monitor their tests over time.
• Proficiency Testing :’Determination of laborator testing performance by means of interlaboratory comparisons.
• Interlaboratory Comparison :’Organisation, perfomance and evaluation of test on the same or similar test items by two or more laboratories in accordance with pre-determined conditions.

Analysing Results

How the results are analyses ?

For testing programs. The laboratory compentence is calculate based on the consensus values. It is draw from the results submitted. BoA use the statistical procedure based on the NATA guidelines and APLAC guidelines. BoA also analyse both within a laboratory and between laboratores.

For calibration programs, the laboratory results are compared with the reference laboratory, which usually from National Intistute of Metrology. The compentence of measurement is calculate by En ratio.

The final report is the combination of result from paticipating laboratories. It also include statistical analyses (Zb and Zw, Youden diagram) and the comments from technical advisor.

 

Confidentiality


All information supplied by a laboratory as part of a proficiency testing program is treated as confidential. However, this infomation be made available to relevant BoA assessors, proficiency testing technical advisers.
