• Viet Nam Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (VILAS) is one of accreditation schemes of BoA: • Organization and operation conform with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17011:2004 • Assessment criteria: ISO/IEC 17025:2005 • Full member and signatory of Mutual Recognition Arrangement with: o Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC) o International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) • To 2007, 260 laboratories are accredited by VILAS
• To upgrade the comentence of laboratory technical and management • To ensure the correctness and reliability of the Testing/Calibration • To facilitate the recognition of Testing/Calibration results • To integrate the laboratory accreditation activities of Viet nam with those of regional and international countires.
• The laboratory, who intent to accredit, downloads the application form in BoA Website and fill in
• On receipt of an application for accreditation (application form, appendix, questionnaire), the secretariat will contact to the laboratory and make the necessary arrangement for the preliminary and initial assessment
• The assesment team include: 1 quality assessor and technical assessor(s) (the number of technical assesor depend on the lab’field of accreditation). The technical assessor is contract assessor, who has experiences, knowledge in the laboratory field.
• It is accredited when the laboratory comply with requirements of the ISO/IEC 17025
• Upon approval, BoA will grant a certificate of accreditation.
